HomeVet: In-Home Veterinary Services for Dogs and Cats

HomeVet: In-Home Veterinary Services for Dogs and Cats

When community quarantine started in the Philippines as a way to slowdown the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus), many pet parents became so worried on how they can bring their pets in veterinary clinic to have their vaccination and deworming administered. Luckily, Doc Mikee started HomeVet where she offers veterinary services at the comfort of your home.

My sister had a chance to book her deworming service for our cute little Pomeranian. Scheduling an appointment with Doc Mikee is very easy, you can either drop her a message in Facebook or call/SMS the number provided on her page. On the day of the appointment, Doc Mikee arrived with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to assure the safety of her clients. She instantly bonded with our dog like they’ve been best friend forever ^_^ Doc Mikee also patiently answers all of family’s questions regarding health management of dogs which is very important to us now that our Pompom has turned 8 years old. She is very accommodating and professional that she even managed to come to our house even at the height of a bad weather. My sister also had a chance to try her consultation service when our dog was not feeling well and we’re very glad that she was very easy to reach out and made the necessary recommendation on what to do.

Our little PomPom really likes Doc Mikee

HomeVet () offers the following in-home veterinary services besides online consultation:
  • Anti-rabies vaccination
  • Deworming
  • Heartworm prevention
  • Anti-tick and flea prevention
  • 4-in-1 vaccination (for cats)
  • 5-in-1 vaccination
  • Kennel cough vaccine
  • Complete blood count
  • Basic hygiene grooming
Veterinary home service is indeed such a convenience for both the pets and the pet owners. First of all, it saves you time and effort because you don’t need to travel to and from the veterinary clinic just to get your pet checked or vaccinated. Since it’s the vet who comes to your home, you don’t need to worry about finding a taxi that allows dogs as passengers. Second, your pet will feel more relaxed since the vaccination will be done at the comfort of his home. Most importantly, with the ongoing pandemic, in-home veterinary service will decrease your chance of contracting the virus by not going outside with your pet.

Overall, my family and our dog had a great experience with Doc Mikee of HomeVet. I highly recommend her services to all fur parents who want to keep their beloved pets safe and healthy amid the community quarantine.
